This disfigured kitten was seen roaming around for weeks on the streets of Istanbul. People noticed it but were just too afraid to even look at it because they described it as being ‘hideous’. But, a 7-year old girl couldn’t resist helping this little cat and decided to put an end to its miserable days.
Cat was found by the girl sitting in the middle of garbage cans – undernourished, starved and in urgent need of some love and care. She carried the kitten home and cried and begged her parents to let her help this poor creature. The parents were horrified by the cat at first, but then they saw how their daughter had made an effort in saving this cat and their hearts softened towards the cat. It was instantly taken to animal’s hospital and the vets there gave it a proper treatment, and a surgery was done to fix the damaged features.
This cat, now, looks healthier and better and its lifestyle has changed as well. The cat was named Gülümser, which means “the one who always smiles”.
